ARSENAL SUBMIT €25 MILLION OFFER FOR BRAZILIAN MIDFIELDER

Arsenal have reportedly submitted a €25 million offer to sign highly-rated Brazilian midfielder from Internacional

Following the successful signings of David Raya and Riccardo Calafiori this summer, Arsenal have turned their attention to Brazil in search of emerging talents. The Gunners are reportedly preparing to submit a €25 million offer to sign 16-year-old midfielder Gabriel Carvalho from Brazilian club Internacional.

According to Internacional TimeLine, Arsenal have shown keen interest in the young midfielder since November 2023. The same outlet reports that Brazilian club Inter do Porto Alegre will receive a proposal from Arsenal consisting of €25 million plus bonuses for Carvalho’s transfer.

Arsenal have a history of success with Brazilian players, most notably with Gabriel Martinelli, and they are now aiming to secure the next big talent from Brazilian football. Carvalho, highly-rated within Internacional’s ranks, has caught the attention of the north London club.

The Gunners have already sent scouts to monitor Carvalho in the Copa São Paulo, where he has a €60 million release clause in his current contract. Despite being a relatively unknown figure and yet to make his first-team debut at Internacional, Carvalho has shown promise playing for the Under-20s.

He has participated in four Copa São Paulo matches, averaging 30 minutes per outing and boasting a 90 percent passing accuracy.

Though he has yet to contribute directly to goals, Arsenal’s interest suggests they see significant potential in Carvalho. It seems negotiations have already begun for the transfer of the young midfielder.

Securing Carvalho’s services will not come cheap, reflecting the high fees paid for Brazilian talents in recent years. Even if an agreement is reached, Carvalho won’t be able to join a European club until he turns 18 in late August 2025.

Arsenal have a core of Brazilian contingent at the Emirates Stadium led by sporting director Edu Gaspar alongside Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli.
